We have just setup a Bemba group on Hyves, the Bemba Hyve! This is a small part of the Bemba roll-out promotion plan and we like to share our reasons with you. Do you have experience in setting up social network accounts for the purpose of promoting a web application?

Bemba enables people to share their web experiences with friends in an easy, intuitive and fun way. Bemba users can share anything they find on the web instantly on any social platform. We will support all major OpenSocial container sites, Facebook, Twitter and more.

The Bemba roll-out plan is pretty straightforward. We will do an Alpha-test with circa 100 people. A week later we will have full integration with Twitter and Hyves – the largest Dutch social network with 5 million users. That marks the start of the open Beta. In March, April and May we integrate Bemba into many other social platforms, including MySpace, Bebo, Hi5, etc.

A micro-level roll-out promotion plan is executed for each platform in which we integrate. The plan is about creating buzz outside and inside the social platform. Keywords: Free publicity, key influencers, power users.

The Bemba Hyve is part of this. The reasons are:
